Remember in my "What's in my Mary Poppin's bag?" post earlier this week I said I wanted the Lauren Hobo International Clutch? Well, I didn't waste a minute. I bought one. I found it at Dillard's on sale for $64. Originally $128. Buttttt, I can't help but think it may be a little "Grandma Bingo Hall Cig Holder-esque".
You won't hurt my feelings. A small part of me says you'd spy this in a bingo hall, but most of me says it is cute.
It will match black, gold and silver if I go out and it's "fancy".
Plus, the extremely hot sales guy at Dillard's says he would never think bingo hall and was laughing at me. He may have just been trying to sell me a wallet, though. However, I narrowed it down to this one or the red one on the left below, which was on sale for $82. He still told me he liked the "fancier" one better and would be "great for going out with my friends". He was straight, so hopefully that means I wouldn't scare off any guys if I carried this out.
I text my friend Patty the pic and she said "I like it. I'd carry it, and I'd walk with you if you carried it too."
Then, when I told her the price she said, "OMG! Good deal! Bargain blonde at it again!"
So tell me, do you agree with hot sales guy and Patty or should I return this? HELP.
I actually reallly like it! I have an odd Hobo too. Mine is the leopard print, its not leather its material and I love it because its SO different, yet goes with a lot. Yours will def go with a ton of stuff. Black, Silver, or Gold! Plus if anyone were to take it, it would be an easy spot if you saw someone carrying it ;)

ReplyDeleteHaha, WOW. Grandma at the Bingo hall didnt cross my mind at all. Even in looking at it, I cant picture that. My grandma stayed with the same style pleather blocky bag that she probably got for $12.00 at JC Penneys20 years ago.

Ok since are BBM besties I have to say, I think it looks grandma. Being besties with me means I'm honest! HOWEVER, even though I think it's grandma, if you don't, then by all means. BUT, I think you kinda sorta maybe thought it was grandma or you wouldn't have asked. I would get something that absolutely LOVE and no questions about :) love ya lulu!!

ReplyDeleteDon't wear a grandma outfit or go to the bingo hall, and you will be fine! But if you wear a black sweater with shoulderpads and stretch pants with stirrups and black old lady sneakers, leave it at home!!! bwahahaha! I can't see you in a grandma outfit, so I think you will be fine!
