Remember that post where I showed you how I was living in squalor since the big move? In it I also posted some pinterest inspiration pictures and after some encouragement from several of you, I decided I definitely wanted to go with chocolate brown and white as my primary colors. A chocolate brown accent wall and white furniture to be exact, so this weekend I got rolling on the room make-over.
Saturday I went to Sherwin Williams with a knob off my bedframe and one of my pillow cases to have them match paint for me. In true Bargain Blonde fashion, all of their paint and supplies were 30 to 40 percent off. Holla!
I'm not even close to be doing done, but I made some progress so I figured y'all would like to see an update. Yes?
I took out all the drawers to prime then paint one of my dressers and a nightstand, which ended up taking me about 10 hours. Wish I was kidding.

Before/After of my smaller dresser. Love the white.
Nightstand #1:
Sunday I decided I needed a break from painting my furniture, so I went to work on the accent wall. The trim took FOR-EV-ER (Sandlot voice). I'm definitely glad I painted it, but painting the edges was serious business. Semi-theraputic though since it was just me, myself and I. Oh and my my girls Carrie, Miranda, Pink and Taylor on the iPod.

Once I finish painting all the furniture including a vanity project, you know there will be a follow-up post.
All of my supplies, the paint and primer cost me $125 total, which I do not think is bad compared to what I would have spent if I went and bought all new furniture. It's crazy how a little paint can transform your space and make your furniture feel brand new. Now if you'll excuse me, HGTV is on the other line ... gotta go.
