While some of you were toasting the good life with your plus ones ...

I had a romantical Valentine's Day dinner for one:  Peanut Butter toast and Special K.

The only "gifts" I got were Valentine's Day cards from my family.

Don't go feeling too sorry for me though because I wasn't completely alone. I spent my evening with my favorite Mom's, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.  Unless of course, I had a date.
I have never in my life seen so many flowers pictures posted to Facebook and Instagram and I have one thing to say to that:

Sorry, I'm not sorry.  Today I'm over at BEAUtiful mess blogging about the first time I met a blogger. GO READ.

  2. i seriously thought about deleting several friends on facebook and/or commenting on their photos or status'. why can't boys be romantic everyday...why just on vday. think about it ladies.

  3. Seriously, I'm married and I was annoyed with people posting VDay all over their fb/twitter/etc. Silly girls.

oh, and I didn't get diddly squat for Vday... we should have been each others Valentines!

  4. It was ridiculous how many people posted MULTIPLE FB posts about their flowers, dinner, chocolate etc. Who are they trying to impress (or convince)?!

  5. The facebook nearly exploded with flowers... for real... Ridic.

  6. ahhhh I forgot to watch Dance Moms last night! Teen Mom was good though

  7. What annoys me is when people write ridiculously personal love messages to their significant others ON facebook. Put it in a card people. Is nothing personal anymore? Why the need to show everyone just how in love you are? We get it!

  8. First, I am craving your dinner right now.

And I was one of those that posted (oops!), but my hubby gave me a 1 TB hard drive, how could I not post about that romantic gift (... okay, I did say I wanted one, but I meant someday).

And i am with you about Dance Mom & Teen Mom2 ... you can't forget RHOBH! TV Tuesdays are awesome!

  9. I am jealous you got to watch Dance Moms and crazy Abby Lee last night! I compromised and didn't put Ken through it, damn it!

  10. I made the joke that I had a hot date with 4 men last night....4 baby daddys. :) and some wine, of course.

  11. Amen! I didn't get on Facebook yesterday, but Twitter was still flowing with flowers.

One of the best things about being single is that you can watch whatever the heck show you want to whenever the heck you feel like. DANCE MOMS for life! I could write multiple blog posts on that show. I'm in denial that the Teen Mom 2 season is over so I'm not ready to watch that one yet. Also, your dinner of choice is one of my favorites :)

  12. I didn't get flowers. No chocolate either. I did get some jewelry, but really, all I wanted was a Keurig coffee maker ... so I guess I'll buy it for myself!

    V-day is for Hookers.

    Or kids.

  13. Or you could do it like me... I had a romantic dinner with the boy & THEN watched Dance Moms & Teen Mom. It was the best of both worlds!

  16. Ha. Hate me if you will. I got flowers AND chocolate. But don't be fooled I only get it on the hallmark holiday. Sorry, I'm not sorry! ha. Love you.

  17. I had salmon last night, but if I could have convinced austin to instead eat peant butter toast and cereal, I swear to G I would have. That is the best meal ever. EVER. Well besides cheese and crackers. Which I consider a meal, since I usually consume an entire box in one sitting. Whatev. So good.

And AHH what did I miss on teen mom 2. I am thinking about googling. I love that show. LOVE. I guess the only good thing about austin leaving this Friday for SEVEN MONTHS (!@!@!@!) is that I will get to catch up on the important stuff. Like teen mom and glee and real housewives of some city.

And now...... I want peanut butter.

  18. I got a whole lotta nothing for Vday, and I'm a-okay with that. I actually went to the gym that evening and it's probably the best day of the year to go - it was a ghost town. Good thing too because I picked my gym attire without trying it on first and that's really not a good thing to do when you're pregnant. I'm lucky my shirt somehow made it to my pants. But like I said, not that it would matter since I was the only one there.

And truthfully, a lot of the flowers I saw looked like they were from the dollar store but you KNOW their men spent at least $50 if not closer to $100 on them. Sam's Club people!!

  19. It kills me how on valentines day most couples hate it each other until that day. Me and my boyfriend dont do anything any different than any other day. Yes we give gifts but other than that its just another day to us.

Oh and I eat special k and toast alot of nights except last night we grilled turkey burgers hahaha.

  20. Haha I saw wayyy too many pictures of flowers too! My response? Post a picture of my alcoholic bevvy toasting to being single and happy on Valentines Day! Yep, I sure did. Oh and I sarcastically posted on Twitter that I still had an hour left at work for someone to send me flowers ;)

  21. I found you over on Beautiful Mess and am your newest follower ;0)

    Great blog!

I completely agree with you! I'm married and I don't even care about Valentines Day. I believe it's a ridiculous holiday that forces people to buy flowers (that are marked up like 400% that day) and take their SO's to dinner at a crowded restaurant with fixed menus.

I texted my mom last night and said "Nothing says Happy Valentines Day more than hamburger helper and wine!" Which is exactly what we had last night, and I enjoyed relaxing in yoga pants catching up with DVR. I'd much rather go out to eat any other night and receive flowers just because instead of because it's v-day.

  22. I love when bitter old single hags like yourself comments on how horrible it is to have a man on Vday.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA JUST KIDDING! You know I love you. And you also know sometimes I would rather BE one of those single old hags sometimes....you know, YOU KNOW.

  23. Ok. Confession. I seriously just started watching Dance Moms the other night. All I kept thinking to myself was, "Is this shiz real?!?!" I took tons of dance classes growing up and I never ONCE had a teacher like ABBY! Maybe that's why I am not a professional dancer now! HAHA!!!!

Your peanut butter toast looks delish. I think I will have that for dinner tonight!!!!

  24. Um thank you! SERIOUSLY FB and instagram were totally annoying with all the Valentine's posts! Even in a relationship, I would never blow up the feed that much! Today, it's still bad IMO! I can't! Seriously thought about deleting some peeps! LOL

    XOXOX

  25. I totally said the same thing on my blog today. I really wanted to delete some people on my FB because they wouldn't STFU about their dang flowers saying "OMG my hubby is the best ever". Really? He's the best because he got you flowers on "national flower day"? Don't think so! :)

I had dinner with the boyfriend and then headed home to spend the evening with the cast of Teen Mom 2. So sad the season is over! I cried at the end, and I'm not sorry about it.
