Packing, movies and my "modeling" days

I literally only left my house this weekend three times: once for packing supplies, once for Starbucks and once for Buffalo Wild Wings. Throughout the course of packing, I watched a lot of movies: American Reunion, Hangover 2, Bridesmaids, Crazy Stupid Love, What's Your Number and The Change Up.

Thank you HBO for  making packing a little more bearable. I liked all of the movies, but Crazy Stupid Love was definitely my favorite of the bunch. Hello shirtless Ryan Gosling. Can anyone explain to me why Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds were not cast in Magic Mike? I'd like to speak with the casting director about this.
Bear wants to come with me.  Bear is technically my nephew's dog, so he will be staying in Texas.
Who wants to help me puppy shop in Las Vegas?

Taking a break during Crazy Stupid Love
I wish I had more exciting weekend shenanigans to share with you, but I don't. I'm done packing my living room and kitchen. Hallelu-jer! However the the garage and my bedroom (i.e. closet) are going to be the hardest to pack and that is what I shall tackle this week. I should have taken a picture of my garage so you can see its hoarders status. I'm seriously petrified of a rat scurrying out from behind something. Lord help my heart if that happens.

My BFF Liz came over Friday night to help me pack, but we ended up ordering pizza, watching movies and digging through old middle school and high school pictures. It wouldn't be right if I didn't share these two gems with you, so you are welcome.

Rocking my Tommy Hilfiger tankini

I know. I don't have words either.

Kristina (the BFF in Vegas), Liz and I met in middle school and have been BFFs since. One of our favorite pastimes was to have "modeling shoots" at the neighborhood pool and/or our bedrooms (paging Chris Hansen) with our trusty disposable cameras. I can't make this shit up. Oh, to be 13 again.

  3. Haha! Love the modeling pictures! Too funny. I have a great video of myself in 7th grade dancing with another friend to the Spice Girls "Tell Me What You Want". She was a bridesmaid in my wedding. Great moments. Good luck packing. It's just the worst...

  13. How funny! My friends and I used to do modeling shoots in high school too although I can't say my pictures came out to being even nearly as pretty as yours were/are! Bear is such a cutie in the box too! Pack me pack me!

  14. Packing is the worst, but I would pack up everything I own, unpack and repack every night if Ryan Gosling were to take his shirt of for me in person. Um, yum.

Good luck with the rest and if you dig up any more modeling pics, please do share. I have some awesome ones of me somewhere but those will never ever ever be publicized.

Thanks for linking up, pretty lady!

  19. These pics are amaaaaaaazing. You just might inspire me to go through old pics, though I'm afraid the majority of them are at my mom's house in Georgia. But looking through all the ones I have here sounds like a PERFECT way to waste time. I'm on it.

Moving is so emotional!!! You're physically exhausted from all the packing and boxing and everything, plus the anxiety around leaving everyone that you love . . . I remember the feeling well. But you're gonna be FANTASTIC and your new life in Vegas is certain to be full of excitement and adventure. I, for one, can't wait. :)

  26. Love your modeling pics! There is nothing better than sitting with a good friend and looking through old pictures. You definitely needed that before this big move!

  28. Ahahah. I'm dying over your modeling pics. I'm pretty sure my BFFs and I did the same embarrassing thing!

  29. Good move! Watching awesome and entertaining movies is a very brilliant idea in making the whole packing process less boring and stressful. However, watching movies can also be a distraction and may affect your focus in organizing your things. It’s okay and normal to have your attention diverted though, as long as you can still find time to finish the packing flawlessly. Plus, you have your sweet friend to help you, so no biggie. =)

  30. One good thing about packing is that you get to see things that you have long since forgotten. And once you see them, all the memories start flooding back. It is a wonderful experience. That’s why I never skip packing my own things when we move out of the house. Last time we moved out, I found the earrings that I lost several years ago. And it was my mother’s favorite pair!

  31. When you're moving, it's important to provide yourself with all the packing supplies you need -- moving boxes, tapes, plastic bags, bubble wrapper, etc. Uhm, I hope that Bear didn't trouble you while your packing. You look stunning on your tankini photo, by the way. :)
