Stitches and a puppy make for an eventful Monday

Sorry I was MIA yesterday, but I woke up with a gash on my chin (literally no clue how this happened in my sleep), which ended up in a trip to the emergency room and my chin being glued together with dermabond.

Basically dermabond is needle-free stitches, which I'll take. I did not want to start my week off with a needle in my face and this may gross you out, but here is the before and after:
Yummy right?  I'm sorry, but I had to.  Quick, let's think happy thoughts.

How about meeting the newest member of our family!?  His name is Bear and he's cuddly and soft:
I die from his cuteness.  If I'm being completely honest, I am not an animal person and I'm definitely not a dog person. I was anti-dog for the longest, but I have to admit that I'm already in love.  Just look at that face.  He's technically my nephew Reese's dog, but really he's all of ours.  From what we were told at the shelter, he is a lab/golden mix with possible German Sheppard??
Reese and his new little buddy
We are in trouble because I have a feeling Bear may grow to be as big as a bear.  Ruff, ruff.

In another turn of events, last night I was laying in bed to fall asleep watching Dr. Phil (the norm) and I hear sirens and all this ruckus outside my room.  I open my balconette and what do I see?  Oh, my neighbor being rolled on a gurney into an ambulance:
I would be the creeper snapping a pic for my blog.  I asked if she was OK and her friend said yes.  I still need to get to the bottom of this.  I'm nosy like that.

What a Manic Monday!  I originally planned on recapping my friend Courtney's Couples Shower yesterday, but then all this nonsense happened which means I must postpone the recap until tomorrow.  To tide you over,  I leave you with this pic.
Courtney, yours truly, Kristi
All righty, I'm outtie.  Finger's crossed that today doesn't turn out so caahh-razy.
