Friday Favorites even though it's technically Saturday on the East Coast

Better late than never, right? As you know, I'm vacationing in Savannah and Hilton Head until Sunday, so I'm a little lot behind on posting today.  In the spirit of my current vacation, today's favorites will be three of my  favorite pictures from today. My Mom and I checked out of our Savannah hotel, had lunch downtown and then drove the 45 minutes from Savannah to Hilton Head.  

Our room wasn't quite ready for us when we got to the resort, so we explored the hotel property.  By the pool, there are a row of hammocks and if I didn't take this picture myself, I would possibly think it was a painting. Paradise. 

And the other two of my favorite pictures come from Savannah before we left for Hilton Head.

After lunch, while walking to our car, we saw this building. Tell me this doesn't look like a painting too. These cities are both just breathtaking.  Can I stay here forever?  Real life, what?

April Photo a Day Challenge! Mission: Accomplished.

Happy uno de Mayo and yahoo! I'm happy to report that I fully completed fellow blogger fat mum slim's April photo a day challenge!  The photo-a-day challenge is something I really love doing because it inspires me to take a different look at the every day, ordinary things in my life and find beauty or creativity in them.  I also love that I am getting to document my month in photos.  I can't wait to look back on all of these pictures at the end of the year because it's going to be a great photo diary of 2012.  With that said, I encourage all of you to take on the May challenge because it has been very rewarding for me!  If you want to keep up with my photos daily, be sure to follow me on instagram by clicking here or searching for my username: TheBargainBlonde

March Photo a Day Dump

Top o' the mornin' to ya!  Can you believe it's already April?  Last month I participated in the February Photo a Day challenge, which is a photography challenge hosted by blogger fat mum slim.  The idea is that you use your camera phone to take a photo each day using the prompts from the list of the month as inspiration.  Once you take your photo, you share it using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.  


I tried my best to keep up this month, but fell off the wagon towards the end.  I'm missing a few pictures (trash, toy, kitchen sink, funny, etc.), but below are the pictures of the ones I completed.  I love this challenge!
