Five Friday Faves

Hidey Ho Neighbors (Home Improvement flashback anyone?)! Only a few more hours until we can bust out of our places of employment (unless you are a SAHM in which case your work never ends) and relish the freedom that only comes from the glory that is the weekend.  Amen.

Before I get into some Friday Faves, I want to thank every one who voted for Beth and Mandy to win the free trip to Europe that I posted about last Friday.  Unfortunately, they did not win, but they did come in third place, which isn't too shabby. Regardless, so many of my readers voted for them and they (and I) appreciate the time y'all took to support them!  I've said it before and I'll say it again, my readers are the BEST and thank you so much!

Moving right along ...

I have a random list of faves today, but nonetheless, I am sharing.

My favorite grocery store find of the week is cooking star Giada de Laurentiis' pasta sauce available at Target.
Giada de Laurentiis Pasta Sauce - prices vary by Target store

I bought the roasted garlic flavor and used it over pasta this week.  It was the best canned sauce I've ever used.  In fact, recently out of more than two-dozen A-lister food products (including products from of Emeril Lagasse and Mario Batali), her Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce took home the prize for pasta sauce “Best Buy”.

My favorite nail polish of the week is e.l.f. essential nail polish in Lilac for only $2.

My favorite UPS delivery of the week? The Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Hot Rollers I ordered on Amazon for $29.97.  I can't wait to try these out this weekend and tell y'all what I think.  These are the same ones that hair goddess and Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi uses.   Tell me she doesn't have the best hair ever.

My newest favorite coffee creamer is  International Delight Cinnabon flavor.  Coffee that tastes like a warm cinnamon roll?  I mean ... yes.  Just yes.

And last but not least, my favorite online deal are these Kendra Scott earrings from Gilt for only $28!  If you haven't signed up for Gilt, you need to.  Just go to their site by clicking here and sign-up for your free account. Once you sign up, you get instant insider access to today’s top designer labels at up to 60% off retail.  It really is that easy!  Today they have a wedding shop going on, so all you soon-to-be wed ladies should check it out.

The end.  Have a fabulous weekend!

  7. I haven't used hot rollers since high school... I used to hate them... But I've gotten a lot better at doing my own hair, so maybe I should try again? Can't beat that $27 price tag!

  8. Hidey Ho, Tim! Gretchen seriously does have the greatest hair ever. I've finally accepted that mine is never going to look THAT good though. Hers is thick and mine is sadly not. But, I do want to know how the rollers turn out! Who knows - maybe they work miracles?

Oh, and I admit... I've signed up for Gilt and get their emails but never check them. Maybe I should start doing that. Have an awesome weekend!! :)

  13. I'll definitely have to try that sauce (sometime in the future - already did enough damage at Target this week), and those earrings are absolutely beautiful! Have a great weekend!

  17. Normally I like my coffee with just plain half and half, but I am definitely going to by that Cinnabon stuff the next time I'm at the store. OMG it sounds amazing. I love these posts of yours! I'm easily convinced--gonna by the Giada sauce too (deviating from my normal fave, Classico--Traditional Sweet Basil).

Sorry Beth didn't win--I voted for her! Pretty awesome that thanks to your blog shout out, she got to 3rd place. :)

    Happy weekend Lindsey!

  18. That is too weird! I was at Kendra Scott store yesterday (Dallas) and almost bought those EXACT earrings. I loved them as soon as I saw them but I ended up putting them back and instead bought 2 other pairs that were on sale.

    Love Gretchen's hair too.

  19. Such a home improvement flash back! Thanks for that :) I have those rollers. They rock.

  20. I have serious hair envy when it comes to Gretchen! I just noticed that she rolls her hair under the roller, while I usually roll my hair over?! If that makes any sense. I might have to try that technique with my old school rollers this weekend :)

  28. My husband likes that creamer, but I'm not a fan. I like cinnamon rolls, but don't like cinnamon in my coffee. I'm a weirdo like that.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh God, cinnabon coffee creamer? Must. Try. Asap.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yummm to the creamer. I've also tried Gingerbread Latte ...and Bailey's ones [original irish cream & creme brulee] are the shit. I think I could do a whole post on creamers!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I may just have to have those rollers.. love Gretchen's hair!

    ReplyDelete
  32. International Delight also makes York Peppermint Patty. It does make your coffee taste exactly like one! Also, the baby lips you posted about, just found it at Target for 2.98!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. PLEASE tell me how the hot rollers turn out! Makes me want to let my hair grow out super long just to use them! Love her hair! (and yours!)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Please let us all know about how those hot rollers work!! I am OBSESSED with her hair!! It always looks SO perfect!!

    Great finds!

  36. I'm pretty sure the only reason I can tolerate Gretchen is because she inadvertently devastates Alexis on every episode. I'm mean.
