Confession Session

Hello friends!  Deep breath, it's Friday ... thank you sweet geezus.  It's been a rough week and I'm in desperate need of a few days off.  I feel that some blog therapy is in order, so a confession session it is.

Forgive me blog world for I have sinned ...

I confess that I am not adventurous at all when it comes to trying new food and drinks.  However, last night the waitress convinced me to try the "Guava Gimlet", which was an elixcer of sobieski vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, guava puree and pineapple juice.  Two thumbs up and the perfect drink for a hot summer day. I should try new things more often.  Maybe.
The Guava Gimlet aka heaven in my mouth.
I confess that I want to move to the UK and become a Gypsy so I can have my very own Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.  Have y'all seen this show on TLC?  One word: amazing.  If having neon green and blue bridesmaid dresses at your wedding is wrong, then I don't want to be right:

I confess that I use my car as a second closet.  My mother's reaction upon seeing the contents of my trunk was and I quote, "You have more shoes in your car than most people have in their closet.  That's not normal."   It's not normal to have 13 pairs of shoes in your car?  I don't see what the problem is here.

I confess that although I'm a bargain shopper, I hate the smell of Goodwill and it literally makes my stomach hurt. The only thing I've ever purchased there were movies for my nephew.  They have quite the collection of old school Disney VHS for only a $1 a movie.   I know what you are thinking ....  yes, I still watch VHS.  Please be kind, rewind.

I confess I'm going to an 80s Party tonight and I have absolutely no idea what I'm wearing.  Where do I find 80s attire?  I'm thinking of hitting up Plato's Closet (another smelly store that makes my stomach hurt).   All I know is I wish the teasing queen PinkLouLou lived by me so she could poof this Bargain Blonde some 80s hair because when I attempt to tease, this is what happens:

All right my little bargainistas ... Don't be shy, what do you confess?  I don't judge.

  1. you're going to an 80's party?! how did i not know about this. we'll brainstorm some outfits. it's SUPER easy. :) and plato's is not the place to go. you might have to wear a gas mask and go to goodwill instead. or your closet...or wal-mart.

and i swear that thing sticking out of your drink looks like a piece of aloe.

  2. I'm the same way with food! I made it a point to try a new food each day or at least every week and I think I've been sticking to it. Everything I've tried, I've loved!

  4. ha ha - Be Kind & Rewind..i totally remember that!

Neon colors are pretty popular right now. you might be able to find something to throw together for cheap at forever 21. I did however see neon shorts at Target the other day.

  5. OMG! My big fat gypsy wedding is soooo addicting. Did you see the one where the girl's dress was short in the front, and had neon pink bridesmaid dresses?

I also have the problem of having shoes in my trunk. I had about 20 in there at one time. Oops!

  17. so my trunk doesnt contain so many shoes - instead it houses the most random crap EVER. golf clubs, beach chair, camping chair (ya never know when you'll need multiple random chairs) an empty duffel bag, a hello kitty blanket, roller blades, and CRUTCHES. You know, all the essential things every girl needs.

  18. Soooo, let's see.

    A) that drink sounds delish,
    B) I can't do the whole goodwill thing because it's just way too disorganized and it's not worth my time to dig through all the crap in hopes of one good find.
    and
    C) make sure to take pictures of your hot 80s looks :)

  19. I confess that I can't tease either. I'm from MS and I'm surprised they haven't kicked me out for my lack of "southern poof." O, what I would do for some Pink LouLou skills.

  25. Haha you always crack me up! So I don't get the whole gypsy thing...lol. Do they just roam around with no home? And why are they so little?! I saw the preview where one dude punches another dude and I freaked out and changed the channel!

P.S. I hate Olivia also. Damn I didn't even notice it was her until you commented. I was only looking at their clothes. Hate her but she does have style.

  28. I love that show!! It's one of the weirdest shows I've ever seen and I can't stop watching it. Never in my life have I seen so many tacky, hideous dresses. I swear they get worse with each episode haha

  30. Can I move to the UK and be a gypsy with you?! I LOVE that show and think every bride should have a fairy princess wedding!

PS: I always rewind and the Hubby messed up my Disney Sing-A-Long tape for Beauty and the Beast. I was so close to cutting him. Don't mess with a ladies' Disney movies...

  31. I can't tease either!!! I got the bump it once too... also a royal fail.

  32. You can not become a gypsy - they are born that way and besides they are nostly poor and live in travel trailers Probably spent all of their money on big poofy, neon dresses. Thier husbands also tell them what to do. As your mom I know it would not fit your life style.

I am confused? I thought your ambition was to have a daughter and be on Toddlers and Tiaras

    Love you

  33. Loved to read this post! I love the one with the shoes, who were still in your car :)

  36. i hope you have some 80s party pics to show off.

right now i confess i can smell myself. because im not showered of course....and i have one hour until boyfriend comes home and gets to smell me too. however, i have a feeling im not gonna move toward the shower, but ill probably eat more instead so i can be both FAT AND SMELLY.

i also confess that i cried because i miss sunshine the other day. i haven't even been here one week...

and i confess that when it was raining really hard and my dog had to go pee, i put him in the shower hoping he'd go there so i didnt have to go outside. it didnt work. he didnt wanna pee in the shower...so i got wet instead.

hope you're having a good start to the week and i hope you have a GOOD week at work...all smiles girl!
