Pretending it's FALL

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

While it doesn't exactly feel like Fall here in Las Vegas yet, I can pretend it is 70 degrees, the trees are losing their leaves and light jackets and scarves are required, right?

Unfortunately, my reality is that it's going to be in the upper 80s most of the week, the only trees I see are of the palm variety and a light jacket and scarf would have me breaking out in a sweat in a few minutes flat.

Regardless of my reality, I still had chili for dinner last night. See what I mean by pretending?

Kristina whipped this up last night. It was delicious.
I can live in denial all I want, but the truth is that I have been very jealous seeing all of you northerners Instagraming photos of your boots, leggings, sweaters and scarves. While I certainly don't envy your bitter winters, I do envy the fact that you get a legit Fall and its happening already.

Since life isn't fair and I can't actually wear all those sweaters, scarves and boots like some of you, I have done the next best thing and pinned Fall clothes like crazy. These outfits need to get in my closet right now:

All photos via my fashion pin board

I want all of those looks. Fall, please get here quickly so I can stop pretending. I like reality better.

Is it Fall where you are? Do you love this season as much as me? I, for one, live for it.

  1. It is def Fall here. And I love everything about it. I feel bad for those who don't really get Fall since it is the best season (at least in my opinion).

Love all the outfits you pinned!!

  2. I always look forward to summer, but then I get even more excited for fall b/c of all that comes with it: (very slightly) cooler temps, football, holidays. I've been bustin out the pumpkin candles like crazy. And my team won tonight! For the first time all freakin season.

I love these outfits--especially the ones with leggings instead of jeans. ;) I need some more sweaters. All my black cardigans are getting holes in them and I can't find any replacements--help!!!

I'm off tomorrow but will be at my computer a good bit of the day, waiting to talk about the two things we talk about best: food and feeling fat. HA!!!

  3. I have to pretend its fall here in florida. You can pretend pretty easily inside the house, but as soon as I try to walk out the door in anything remotely fallish, the heat knocks me down. Hopefully we get some slightly cooler temperatures here soon.

  5. Today is the first day I can "pretend" it's really fall here in SC. Literally yesterday I was swimming in the pool and tanning - it's been so hot! We're in the 60s for the first time today and you better believe I busted out the skinny jeans - FINALLY! As long as it continues to cool off, up next - boots and scarves :)

  6. Ohhhhhh girl I feel your pain :/ I'm in FL and our Fall is basically non-existent. I ordered some SUPER CUTE new boot sox from Michigan on Groop Dealz- shipping them to Florida probably got some eyebrow raises haha.

  7. Aw, that must stink to not be able to celebrate Fall! Hopefully you get a couple days of cooler weather to really enjoy it! :)

  8. I'm in the same boat, different state, over here... All of these adorable boot sock trends are surfacing now and I die a little more every time I see another cute pair. Sadly, I'd have to seriously jack up our AC bill in order to wear them without dying of heat.

  10. It actually feels a little like fall today so I'm breaking out the skinny jeans, boots, and a sweater! I am SO excited. I don't really even have anywhere to go, but I'm sure I could find somewhere just so I can wear my new boots :)

  16. I live in SC and today was the first day I could have actually worn boots and not looked stupid. Sadly, I didn't realize this until I was outside and on my way to work!!

I don't envy the snow though, so I'll wait a few more weeks :)

Even in Vegas, I still dress like it's fall even though it's in the 80s... but I can only get away with it because the office i work in is FREEZING all the time!
