Weekend Wrap-Up: The one where I cross zero off my to-do list

On Friday I had grandiose dreams of spending my weekend picking out paint colors for my bedroom using Caroline's amazing painting guide, unpacking my garage (currently the dump site for all things random), selling clothes and purses to Plato's Closet, taking a trip to the grocery store and giving the house it's first round of thorough cleaning.  Welp, mission definitely not accomplished.  Literally zero of it.

I did manage to rent Limitless from Red Box Friday night.  Not the type of movie I'd generally choose, but there were slim pickings and BCoop was the star, so enough said.  I'd actually recommend it if you like thrillers:

Made a run to Starbucks after waking mid-morning/afternoon. I'm not head over heels with the Pumpkin Spiced Latte as you all swore I would be. I like it fine, I just prefer my vanilla latte.  There, I said it.  Please don't send hate mail.

Indulged in some spa mani/pedis. I choose an OPI red color to match my Alma Mater, Texas Tech.

Speaking of Texas Tech, I watched my Texas Tech Red Raiders upset the #3 ranked Oklahoma Sooners.  Sorry, but I'm not sorry (Lauren).  Winner winner, chicken dinner.
And my favorite thing of all, I got to go see Megan's baby boy, who was welcomed to the world late last week.  Remember her from the "B is for Baby" baby shower I threw?  Meet Benjamin Allan, who is pumped for his first Texas Tech football game.

Well, there is always next weekend girls.  Toinght I start 4-day-a-week bootcamp and as of 8 a.m. this morning, I finally got serious about tracking Weight Watcher points online again. Momma's gotta shed some pounds by January and time is a ticking.  Wish me luck, I need it.

p.s. Anyone want to take a quick trip with me to New Jersey to punch Teresa Guidice in the baby maker?  I won't tell if you won't tell.

  1. I am not obsessed with PSLs like everyone else. I do, however, love the new salted caramel mochas. Ahmaaaazing! Like fa real. You gotta try it.

Good luck with the losing weight business. I wish I could get my (fat) ass into gear!

  2. I think you look great, but congrats on getting your ass in gear haha. I've been doing the low carb thing since June and I've lost over 50 pounds! If youre wanting to drop a few, I highly recommend it. You get to eat real food... so none of that calorie counting crap and that reduced fat "food" that tastes like cardboard.

I didn't really watch the New Jersey housewives this season, but I did catch the reunion special and I'll gladly go with you to punch Teresa! She's nuts.

  3. girl is seriously CRAZY! I can't stand her anymore. Season 1 loved her, Season 3 not so much.

  4. Ill start from the bottom I guess... Teresa really did herself no favors with that two part reunion... WOW!

My weekend plans and actual weekend accomplishments look really similar to this... why do you think I never put my room on the blog? oh yea because it's a hot mess.

Way to be Texas Tech! I am currently sitting here rooting for a Texas team as well... the Rangers! whoop whoop

  5. I can't stand Teresa. ahhhh she drives me crazy!!! and to think I used to like her... bleck. Kathy is my fav now she is a beautyyyyy

I love your nail polish color! looks fab

  6. I was going to express my hatred towards Tech in this comment but I'm not. I will not tell you how much I despise, hate or want to choke their entire football team...nope...not one bit...but I WILL say I like the fact that your nails are painted UH red. ;)

In other news-I've never tried to PSL (as they call it on the streets) either and I'm ok with this. I'm a vanilla latte girl as well so I think I'll just stick with what I know.

Oh-and good luck with boot are much braver than I!

One more "oh"-I'm totally kidding about my Tech comment. Maybe.

I ran out of "oh's" so I have to throw in a "PS"...what part of Dallas are you in?! I think we're coming there early December! :)

  7. I feel the same way about PS Lattes, had one and I am good. I keep vanilla too. Lovve your nails. :)

  8. Ioving the polish color! And that b*tch needs a Xanax stat.

  9. PROSTITUTION WHORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think the pumpkin spice latte is "trendy" and people only drink it because its "cool" hahah sorry pumpkin latte drinkers!

    your nails look fabulous girly

  10. I so appreciate your honesty about the PSL--I do NOT like it either! And I is like a trendy thing...but I pass. I go for the Dunkin Donuts coffee ;) I didn't think I'd like Limitless either but we saw it at the theater awhile back, and it was pretty decent!

  11. Love the nail color girl!!

And GO girl for doing that boot camp! I would SO do it with you if I were there! There is this boot camp here my friend is the teacher of he keeps getting at me for it. lol if i had more time I would and MONEY! ah!

    Also, love the nail color!

  13. Omg...Teresa is down right nutty! She sure makes RHofNJ entertaining. I had to watch the replay of the reunion tonight. Love it!

  14. Hi pretty! Newest follower. I agree--Theresa lost her mind. :( I'm sort of off the show now...yuck! Great nail color.

  15. I'm not a fan of pumpkin spice lattes either. I love my chai or the caramel apple cider. And Teresa is a crazy biznitch-but not in a good way. I always kinda liked how dumb she was, but this is taking it to a new level.

  16. Woooo! Good luck with boot camp. I'm not really even sure what all that entails but I'm guessing it's not easy!

Still haven't seen Limitless yet but I'll add it to my list :)

  17. Limitless is good... Well bc is why in my book but really I liked it until the end and then... Ewwwww.

So what time does our flight leave??? Hahaha I can't stand the insanity.

  18. haha, i don't like anything pumpkin so i understand.

my weekend wasn't very productive either ... i agree, there is always next weekend.

i enjoyed Limitless too. but i can usually stand any movie Cooper is in ;)

  19. Ahahaha!!!! to everyone that said Pumpkin Spice Lattes are "trendy".

No, no they're not. They're delicious to some of us (myself included), and that's why we drink them.

Teresa is a friggin' nut case. Melissa is my fave.

  20. Love the nail color...

and the Corona in the background.

    melting this gal's heart :)

  21. I actually agree about the pumpkin spice lattes. They're not BAD, but I just don't "get it". That said, I do really really love Starbucks egg nog lattes!

  22. I'm glad you're only mean one time a year. I can deal with that... And on that day, I still love you, but I don't like you very much.

I've really been wanting to see Limitless. Must make the time!

    How did bootcamp go??

  23. The movie Limitless was so good! I saw it a few weeks ago and couldn't get over how good it was! I love movies like that. Have you see Abduction with Taylor Lautner? It's the same type of good! Great blog post! :)

  24. I literally started this season of RHONJ on her side! And somehow she has managed to make me completely hate her. Good Job, Teresa. I'll team up to punch her square in the baby maker.

  25. those are the best kind of ways to spend your time :-)!
    Do Dallas Cheap

  26. I hate pumpkin spice lattes! They tasted like burnt coffee to me. I loved Limitless too. And I watched that epic football game - while I was drunk texting somebody I thought was you on Saturday night.

  27. dude teresa has gone off her rocker!! cray cray for sure!

and girl - dont sweat it - sometimes you need totally selfish completely relaxing, mani pedi, psl weekends! :)

  28. I wanna see Limitless. Sounds good, and Bradley Cooper is major eye candy!

Was the game not amazing?! I thought my boyfriend was going to cry he was so dang happy.

Good luck on the boot camp/WW thing girl, you got this :)

  29. Thanks to Texas Tech for helping to boost Clemson's place in the rankings :) I loved Limitless - I actually wish I would have read the book first. Hubs didn't like it, but I thought it was pretty good all around.

  30. Bradley Cooper, YUMMY! Need him!
Starbucks pumpkin spice icky-ness, just ICKY! Had my 1st one years back, HATED it. Java Chip, holla!
