Five Friday Faves!

Oh, you fancy, huh?  Y'all like the new little logo I made for Friday Faves?  Would any one be interested in me making this series a link-up on Fridays?  Let this bargain blonde know and I'll make it happen.  We can spread our faves to all.
Bello Bangle /  Devi Bangles
Duh, I'm including Stella & Dot because guess what bargainistas?  I'm accepting outside orders on my trunk show until June 5 (just enter Lindsey Riggs as your hostess), which means there is still time to get your hands on some of our celeb-coveted jewels and be entered to win the serenity small stone drops for free.

I literally just ordered these bangles this morning and I cannot wait to get them on my wrists.  Is that Bello Bangle not to die?  Genuine leather, gold plated metal, Czech crystal and pyramid studs. I can't take it.  And I can't wait to pair those devi bangles with the renegade like so:
Gorge, right?

e.l.f. studio blush brush and e.l.f. studio complexion brush
Last week I did a Lauren Conrad Look for Less for e.l.f.'s beauty blog (click here if you missed it).  To create the look, they sent me oodles of e.l.f. goodies and I have been using these two brushes every day since.  They are so freaking soft. If anyone uses anything but e.l.f. studio brushes, you're cray.  Since they are so cheap too, I cannot recommend them enough.

Right now e.l.f. has an amazing e.l.f. studio brush special online. On orders of $20 or more, you can get the 11-piece Studio Brush Set for only $3. Regularly $30, so you're saving 90%. NINETY PERCENT. Ridic.

Ariana Maxi Black (pictured) / Ariana Maxi Hot Pink
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've seen apparel from the boutique Kiki La' Rue all over our favorite blogs.  Rebecca, my friend and owner of the online boutique (based right here in Dallas) sent me this amazing Ariana Maxi to wear on the boat for Memorial Day.  I may have to wear it this weekend to a pool party, though, because I'm not sure I can wait.  I love it's sweetheart neckline and cinching detail under the boobs to slim your waist.  Yep, I'm pretty sure it's getting a trial run this weekend.

Old Navy Women's Sandals
Before I went to Hawaii, I picked up a few pair of sandals from Old Navy for the trip.  I had to list them in Friday Faves because they are so stylish and cheap and I've been wearing them every day.  I love pairing them with maxi's like the Ariana mentioned above and I am definitely getting some more to wear this summer because they are so CHEAP!  Most are around $15.  Style steal, y'all.
Pour one out for our Good Christian Bitches. Why ABC, WHY?  I almost shed a tear when I heard the devastating news that my new favorite comedy, GCB, was cancelled.  Say whhhhaaaaa???  I literally just blogged about GCB a few weeks ago in a Friday Fave post.   So many of you said you loved the show too, so I encourage you to go to www.savegcb.com to sign the petition to bring our favorite bitches back.  This is serious biz-nas.

What are you loving this week?
Don't forget to let me know in the comments if you want me to make Friday Faves a link-up! TGIF.

My Bachelorette Premiere Party!

Oh, hey!  Here I am! It's been five days since my last post, which I do believe is a new bad blogger record for me. Last week was a tad hectic and I just realized how far behind I am with filling you in on my really exciting (sarcasm) life.  I'm going to do a catch-up post soon, but today I'm recaping my Stella & Dot launch/The Bachelorette viewing party from Monday.

Back in my college days, my girlfriends and I would do a weekly Bachelor/Bachelorette viewing party at each other's apartments and rotate hosting.  However, after graduation and the "Real World" happened, we unfortunately let this little tradition of ours fall by the wayside.  I'm happy to report that as of Monday, I brought it back!  Let's hope we keep it up.  Here we are at "go time", anxiously waiting for Emily's suitors to charm scare her.

My initial thoughts on the premiere: Love Emily, didn't love her one shoulder Jean Fares dress.  The color wasn't working for me and it was too pageant-esque.  But what really turned me off was that sheer mesh situation on the back of the dress that reminded me of an outfit Tonya Harding would have worn back in the day.  Just go backless girl. And now for the top three guys I am rooting for and the three that need to go bye-bye immediately.

Go Bye-Bye, sirs
1.  Stevie, the Jersey party emcee (barf) who came frolicking in with a boom box on his shoulder.  At that point I would have asked him and his boom box to go back to the1980s where they belonged.  However, I was more offended by his heinous leprechaun green shirt than the boom box.

2. Alejandro, the "mushroom farmer".  ABC, really?  I'm so sure Emily Maynard, the epitome of Southern belle, and a "mushroom farmer" (I'm side eyeing you Alejandro) with double pierced ears are going to hit it off just swimmingly.

3. And lastly, Travis, the freak show who brought an ostrich egg.  "You're probably wondering why I'm holding this egg" was his opening line.  I wouldn't need an explanation. It's not normal under any circumstance to cradle a big ostrich egg like your first born when you are trying to woo a woman.
Emily, I feel the same way.
I'd date 'em
1. Ryan, the ex-pro football player (yummy) from Georgia.   The hair would need a little tousling, but other than that, he seems like a normal, sweet Southern gentleman Emily would get along with.  I thought his little note was charming and not too over the top.
via
2. Doug, the single dad who also brought her a note, but written by his 11-year-old son.  Clearly I have a thing for love notes.  He charmed me too, but let's get him a new name.  Doug is not working for me.

3. Sean, another ex-football player, and only because he is major eye candy and hails from my hometown, Dallas. Hi, Sean.  I'm childless and live in your city. Call me maybe?

Those abs.  Le sigh.  Here are a few pics from the party set-up:

My Stella and Dot goodie Table:
I'm accepting outside orders until June 5, so if you want to shop my trunk show, click here.
Select moi, "Lindsey Riggs" as your hostess.

The munchies:

The bevys.  Wine and champagne spritzer:

The spritzer is a huge crowd pleaser and so easy to make.  You need 3 bottles of extra dry champ, 6 generous scoops of raspberry sorbet and about 6 mint leaves.  Stir and serve with sliced strawberries.  I doubled the recipe for this party and it was gone by the conclusion of the show.  My ladies are lushes too and that's why we get along so well.

So, what are your first impressions of these bachelors?  Who do you think has a chance of making it until the end and who do you want to give a first class ticket back to crazy town?

I know this week I've talked Stella and Dot a lot, so I thought I'd clarify that my blog is not going to turn into Stella & Dot central.  Nothing is going to change at all,  I just want to make sure y'all are a part of my launch with Stella and Dot!  After Monday, it's back to business as usual.

In other news, who is excited for The Bachelorette Premiere on Monday?  I can't wait for my viewing party! I have some fun stuff planned that I can't wait to blog about.  And more than anything, I absolutely cannot wait to see what Emily wears this season.  I would give up my first born for her body and style.  Other than Miranda Lambert, she is my #1 girl crush!   Do y'all love her as much as I do?  It doesn't hurt that she is a huge fan of Stella and Dot too!

PMS, I don't like you. A pointless post.

PMS. I'm currently experiencing it which may explain why my left hand is currently shoved in a bag of Kettle Brand baked Salt and Vinegar chips (my new snack obsession) as I type away. Current symptoms include, but are not limited to:

I'm craving sweets, and I rarely eat sweets.   This means I shamelessly busted into my nephew's Easter candy stash.

My boobs are swollen, achy and spilling out of my bra. Four boob syndrome is not a cute look.

I feel/look obese which is a consequence of wanting to eat sweets and everything in sight.

Every one and every thing is annoying me. So watch out.

This is just PMS folks. Lord help us all if I ever reproduce because those hormone surges are going to be epic.

In conclusion, I leave you with my favorite line of the day ...

If you need me after 5 p.m., you can find me on my couch, catching up on trash TV, drinking wine and eating fun-size twix I stole from my neph.  I mean, is there any other cure for PMS?  Eff midol, pass me the Cabernet.  Toodles.
