I hope you all had a great weekend however you spent it. It's Monday and I have not had my coffee yet, so I'm going to let the pictures do the talking. Everybody OK with that? Good.
Friday evening I dyed Easter eggs with my nephew, Reese. I probably have not done this since I was a kid and I have to admit I was pretty excited about dyeing the eggs. Maybe more than him.
Saturday morning he got his Easter baskets before an egg hunt by the pool.
For inquiring minds: My brother and I live together and Reese is with my brother half the week and half the week with his Mom, so we had Easter on Saturday with him. Sunday he is with his momma bear. |
Easter Sunday egg hunt @ church. Go Reesey Go! |
Reese and his Mommy. I know, I know. She's gorgeous. |
Sunday I woke up and decided to treat myself with Starbucks and Einstein Bagels. It was a good call.
I probably had not had these bagels in over a year. I forgot how good they are. |
I was about 50 pages into The Hunger Games, so my goal was to finish the book on Sunday so I could see the movie. Finish it I did. If you have not read The Hunger Games yet: DO IT. You will not be able to put the book down, I promise.
I may be slightly insane, but after I finished the book around 6 p.m., I went and saw the movie immediately at 7 p.m. The movie was amazing! And um ... Liam Hemsworth (plays Gale) = HOT
Then, I came home and started reading Catching Fire (book 2 of the trilogy) until I fell asleep. Normal.
I have a feeling this book may be finished before Tuesday rolls around. It's that good.
Okay I have no idea what your brother looks like so no offense but now that I've seen his Mom I get why Reese is such a gorgeous child! Goodness there are some good genes going around!
ReplyDeleteI feel you on The Hunger Games, I read all 3 books in about 5 days over Christmas! Just too good!
I am dying over how cute Reese is! Love those little glasses he wears. I love Einstein bagels, sooo yum! And, I have yet to jump on the Hunger Games bandwagon.. but as quick as you read that? I may have to do it..
ReplyDeleteI read the Hunger Games books in NO TIME. So did my mom, lol, and she isn't even a fast reader. I told her she HAD to give the first one a try and she read it in a day. Then she just HAD to go see the movie the next day. :)
ReplyDeleteYour nephew is adorable!
I still need to get on the HG bandwagon, but not before I read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series.
ReplyDeleteObvi, your nephew is so freaking ADORABLE. Do you ever get tired of hearing that?
Reese is SO cute!!! And Welcome to the HG group :) The first book is my favorite of all of them.
ReplyDeleteHoly snapple. Him and those glasses. And the vest? So dang cute!
ReplyDeleteThat's a whole lot of Easter loot! :)
ReplyDeleteI read all 3 books in about 4 days. They are hard to put down.
I read hunger games and catching fire in 3 days and now I am stuck on Mockingjay! I cannot seem to finish it :(
ReplyDeleteAbout time! Reese is adorable. Watching kids get released into the yard for Easter egg hunting was like watching the hunger games. I declared the girl who sprinted to the far end of the yard Katniss. There were fights and tears. So much drama to consume while sipping a Corona in the shade.
ReplyDeleteYour nephew is the cutest thing EVER - I love his glasses! How great was the Hunger Games? I love a good trilogy - one book just isn't enough:)
ReplyDeleteI totally read the Hunger games all day yesterday too! Counting down until I can go home and start book #2!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend! I dyed eggs, too, and think I was more excited about it this time around than I ever was as a kid. Your nephew is such a handsome little guy! I haven't read the Hunger Games or seen the movie yet, but it's on the list of "reading I actually WANT to do" when classes end in May.
ReplyDeleteI read all 3 Hunger Games books in a week... I was up until all hours of the night, it was ridiculous. I thought the movie was pretty good considering movies are NEVER going to be as good as the book. But taking that into consideration, pretty decent, and a lot of things were similar to how I imagined them.
ReplyDeleteUmmm Reese is too cute. But you already knew that. And one day people will probably be looking at pics of you and your kid/s and saying "Dang, hot mama". Just saying.
I read all 3 hunger games books in 3 days. LOL lets just say I was really tired at work that week! I just couldn't put them down...HAD to know what happened next. BTW you have the cutest little nephew ever!! Those glasses are so freaking cute! And his easter basket looked AWESOME! I miss American easter stuff so much!
ReplyDeleteAgh, need I even say anything? Reese is a little heartbreaker as usual. I bought the Hunger Games a few weeks ago but have yet to pick it up & start it. I have tomorrow off work, seems like a legit thing to do. I'll be on my couch all day.
ReplyDeleteReese is adorable!! And so glad you are on the Hunger Games train cause that shiz is awesome and addicting. and yes, Gale. That's all that needs to be said. Gale.
ReplyDeleteI can't get over how handsome Reese is! I am just about obsessed with my nephew! We have many dates but I wish I could just move him in. You are a lucky auntie!!
ReplyDeleteReese is a total stud. Seriously. He's the only kid I've ever seen able to pull off glasses and look cute/sophisticated/handsome. I mean, that's generally not possible as a kid, let alone as a kid with glasses. He is going to be one heart breaker in 10-20 years. Oh my! Lady killer in the making!!! Right now though, he looks as sweet as pie!
ReplyDeleteSeriously. He couldn't get any cuter!! Glad you had a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, in the movie, Gale is so stinkin' HOT. I wanted them to show him more!!! Hunger Games is my favorite book, for sure. And Reese is the cutest lil boy!!
ReplyDeletesuch a great book series and i loved the movie!
ReplyDeleteOk again, Reese is adorable!! I wish I had my two nieces with me all the time!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the Hunger Games is amazing!!! I tell everyone to read the books first :)
Reese is gonna be such a little heartbreaker! He's a cutie!
ReplyDeleteAre you really loving Catching Fire? I've been reading it since like last Tuesday and I'm STILL only halfway through. It just keeps GOING! haha It's defintely not my favorite.
Came across your blog through another one and I saw these pictures and was like "I know that kid" LOL! My husband is Dustin Hardy - friends with your brother! What a small world!!
ReplyDeleteOmg he is so adorable!!! He looked so cute on Easter! Looks like a wonderful day!
